Spider-Man Brand New Day India advance booking: Tom Holland superhero flick grosses over Rs 85 crore in pre-sales

Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day is creating massive box office buzz across India before its release. The Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures film has pulled in extraordinary advance ticket sales, setting the stage for a historic opening weekend. Trade experts believe the film is on track to break Avengers: Endgame's long-standing pre-sales record, which has stood untouched for nearly seven years. With premium formats selling out fast and multiplex chains reporting huge demand, the superhero sequel looks set to become one of the biggest Hollywood releases India has ever seen.

Spider-Man Brand New Day On Way To Record Biggest Ever Advance Booking For A Hollywood Film In India

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has crossed Rs 85 crore gross in advance bookings for its four-day extended opening weekend, as per Sacnilk. This makes it the second-highest advance seller ever for a Hollywood film in India. Of this total, around Rs 45 crore has come from opening day sales alone, while the remaining amount has been generated across the other three days of the extended weekend. Avengers: Endgame had reportedly collected around Rs 90 crore in advance bookings for its three-day opening weekend back in 2019.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is also expected to challenge the opening day record set by Avengers: Endgame, which had earned around Rs 65 crore gross on its first day in 2019.

On ticketing platforms, the film has already sold around 4 lakh tickets at national chains and is projected to cross 5 lakh tickets, placing it among the top three Hollywood advance sellers in India. Only Endgame and Spider-Man: No Way Home currently rank higher.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Tom Holland's return as Peter Parker after a gap of nearly five years, and fans have waited eagerly for this comeback. The film also stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing. It releases in India on July 30 across multiple languages.

Biggest Hollywood Openers In India

Avengers: Endgame led the pack for years with an opening day gross of around Rs 65 crore, a number that has remained unmatched by any other foreign film release in the country. Avatar: The Way Of Water comes in second with a start of Rs 40 crore, followed by Spider-Man: No Way Home which collected Rs 32.67 crore

Avengers: Infinity War occupies the fourth position with an opening day total of over Rs 31.30 crore and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness rounds up the top 5 list with Rs 27.5 crore start.
