How to Apply?

• Visit Official Website : Go to the official website of the Patna High Court at https://patnahighcourt.gov.in.

• Navigate to Recruitments : Click on the "Recruitments" tab located in the left-hand menu column.

• Select Examination Link : Click on the link titled "Ex-Cadre Assistant Recruitment Examination, 2026".

• Initiate Application : Click on "Apply online" and then select the "New Registration" link.

• Complete Registration Form : Fill in mandatory details such as your Full Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, Gender, Reservation Category, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and E-mail ID, then submit to receive your login credentials via SMS or E-mail.

• Log In to Portal : Log in using the generated Registration Number and Password sent via SMS or E-mail.

• Fill Personal Details : Complete your personal details section in the application form and click submit.

• Fill Education Details : Provide your educational qualification details and click submit.

• Capture Live Photograph : Capture a live, clear, frontal-view color photograph against a light background following the specified guidelines.

• Upload Documents and Signature : Upload your scanned signature (50 KB to 80 KB in JPG/JPEG format) and all required certificates/documents (100 KB to 300 KB in JPG/JPEG/PDF format) such as mark sheets, identity proof, and category certificates.

• Preview Application Form : Go to the Print Preview Page to carefully review all filled details and check the confirmation box.

• Make Fee Payment : Click the "Payment" button to pay the required application fee online (note that fee payment links are disabled on specific dates like August 28, 2026).

• Final Submission and Printout : Finally submit the application form after payment and take a printout of the completed application form along with payment details for future reference.

Selection Process

• Preliminary / Screening Test : Conducted as an MCQ-based screening test (if applicant numbers are high) requiring a minimum of 40% qualifying marks, though these marks are not counted toward the final merit list.

• Written Test : Conducted as an MCQ-based main test consisting of General English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, General Hindi, and Computer Awareness, requiring a minimum of 40% qualifying marks.

• Computer Proficiency Test : A qualifying test evaluating proficiency in word processing, spread sheets, and the internet with a minimum qualifying requirement of 40%.

• Interview : A final interaction carrying 10 total marks with a minimum qualifying requirement of 30% (03 marks), where performance combined with the Written Test determines the final merit list.
