How to Apply

  • Step 2 : Access the Application Portal – Click on the "Apply Online" link prominently displayed on the website's Home Page.

  • Step 3 : Profile Registration – Register and create your personal profile using the "One Time Registration" system (OTRS).

  • Step 4 : Use Existing Credentials (If Applicable) – Log in with your existing User ID and Password if you are already registered from a previous HPPSC exam.

  • Step 5 : Select the Examination – Locate and select the "STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST" from the list of active advertisements on your candidate dashboard.

  • Step 6 : Upload Mandatory Documents – Upload clear, scanned copies of your Matriculation certificate, Master's Degree mark sheet, and valid category/bonafide certificates if applying under a reservation.

  • Step 7 : Review and Verify Files – Check the document preview window and accept the mandatory declaration confirming that all uploaded files are readable and true.

  • Step 8 : Pay the Fee – Pay your category-specific examination fee online using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking through the integrated e-Payment Gateway.

  • Step 9 : Final Submission – Complete the final submission on the portal and retain a printed photocopy of the completed application form for your personal records.

Selection Process

  • Step 1 : One-Time Registration (OTR) – Candidates must register, create a profile, and fill out their correct credentials on the official HPPSC website.

  • Step 2 : Online Application Submission – Candidates select the State Eligibility Test from the dashboard, choose their post-graduation subject, and upload the required valid documents like educational transcripts and category certificates.

  • Step 3 : Fee Payment – Applicants pay the fixed category-wise examination fee through the online e-Payment Gateway using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.

  • Step 4 : Admit Card Download – Eligible candidates must download and print their e-admit card from the official website to bring to the examination hall along with an original ID proof.

  • Step 5 : Offline Examination – Candidates appear for two compulsory objective-type papers (Paper-I for General Awareness/Aptitude and Paper-II for the Concerned Subject) held in a single day across designated centers.

  • Step 6 : Provisional Answer Key & Challenges – HPPSC displays a provisional answer key online, allowing candidates to submit objections within 5 days by paying Rs. 100 per question.

  • Step 7 : Final Evaluation – Answer sheets are evaluated based on the revised final answer key with a marking scheme of 2 marks per correct answer and no negative marking.

  • Step 8 : Final Merit and Result Declaration – The top 6% of candidates who appeared in both papers and secured the minimum aggregate cutoff (40% for General, 35% for Reserved categories) are declared qualified.

  • Step 9 : Certificate Issuance – SET certificates are issued to the qualified candidates solely on the basis of the verified information provided in their online application form.
