Qualification & Experience

Trade Finance Officer - IBG (JMGS-I)

  • Essential Academic Qualification (As on 31 July, 2026) : Graduate (any discipline) from a Government-recognized University or Institution, and Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF (dated on or before 31 July, 2026).

  • Preferred Qualifications : Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) by LIBF, Certificate for Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) by LIBF, Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) by ICC Academy, Global Trade Certificate (GTC) by ICC Academy, Certificate in International Trade Finance (CITF) by LIBF, or Certificate in International Trade Finance (IIBF) (all dated on or before 31 July, 2026).

  • Experience (As on 31 July, 2026) : Minimum 1 year of post-essential academic qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations mandatorily in an Officer/Official role in any scheduled commercial bank (preferably in a maker role).

Trade Finance Officer - IBG (MMGS-II)

  • Essential Academic Qualification (As on 31 July, 2026) : Graduate (any discipline) from a Government-recognized University or Institution, and Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF (dated on or before 31 July, 2026).

  • Preferred Qualifications : Same preferred certifications as JMGS-I (CDCS, CSDG, CTFP, GTC, CITF, or IIBF International Trade Finance) dated on or before 31 July, 2026.

  • Experience (As on 31 July, 2026) : Minimum 3 years of post-essential academic qualification experience in Trade Finance processing mandatorily in an Officer/Official role in any scheduled commercial bank.

Selection Process

  • Online Registration : Candidates must register online through the official SBI careers portal and pay the required application fee within the stipulated window.

  • Preliminary Shortlisting : A dedicated shortlisting committee reviews applications based on qualifications, suitability, and experience to select an adequate number of eligible candidates.

  • Personal Interview : Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview carrying a total of 100 marks, where qualifying standards are determined directly by the Bank.

  • Merit List Preparation : The final selection merit list is compiled strictly in descending order based exclusively on the scores secured during the personal interview.
