  • PET Score Requirement : Must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) and been issued a score card by the Commission (candidates with a zero, less than zero, or negative normalized score are ineligible).  

  • Educational Qualifications :

    1. High School and Intermediate (with Biology) or equivalent from a recognized board/institution.  

    2. A 2-year 3-month diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy from a university/institution established by law in India.  

    3. Note on Registration: Per a letter from the Additional Chief Secretary (Livestock Section-3) dated May 20, 2026, a Veterinary Pharmacy Council for registration does not currently exist in UP, so registration is not mandatory.  

    4. Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.

How to Apply?

  • Online Registration & PET Verification : Visit the official UPSSSC website (upsssc.gov.in), navigate to the Live Advertisement section, and log in using your Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) registration number along with applicant authentication.  
  • Form Filling & Educational Details : Select the Veterinary Pharmacist position, carefully review the required educational qualifications (High School with Biology, 2-year 3-month Veterinary Pharmacy diploma), and input your academic and personal details as prompted.  
  • Photo, Signature & Declaration : Verify your pre-loaded photograph and signature transferred from PET-2025, check your permanent/correspondence address details, review the declaration checkboxes, and enter the verification code.  
  • Fee Payment : Pay the total online application fee of ₹25 (which includes the online processing fee) using a credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI, or SBI e-Chalan by October 5, 2026.  
  • Fee Reconciliation & Modification : Ensure your bank fee reconciliation is completed by October 12, 2026, using the "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification" option if needed, and make any permitted modifications to your application details before this final window closes.  
  • Final Submission & Printout : Download, verify all entries on your final submitted application form, and print out the completed application receipt to keep for future document verification requirements.

Selection Process

  • Initial Shortlisting (PET-2025) : Candidates are shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized score from the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025), with the cutoff extending to roughly 15 times the number of vacancies.

  • Written Examination : Eligible shortlisted candidates appear for a 2-hour objective multiple-choice question (MCQ) exam consisting of 100 questions for 100 marks, featuring a 25% negative marking scheme (0.25 marks deducted per incorrect answer).

  • Document Verification & Review : Candidates who clear the written examination are called to submit and verify original educational qualification certificates, category documents, and application forms.

  • Final Merit & Selection : Final appointment recommendations to the Directorate of Animal Husbandry are made strictly following the written test merit list, combined with adherence to state vertical and horizontal reservation policies.
