Educational Qualification

  • Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Electrical) : First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering, along with a valid GATE Score (2024/2025/2026) in the Electrical Engineering paper.

  • Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Civil) : First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in Civil Engineering, along with a valid GATE Score (2024/2025/2026) in the Civil Engineering paper.

  • Engineering Assistant (Electrical) : First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering / Technology in Electrical with 5 years of experience in the relevant field.

  • Engineering Assistant (Mechanical) : First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering / Technology in Mechanical with 5 years of experience in the relevant field.

  • Scientific Assistant : First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University with 5 years of experience in the relevant subject field.   

  • Technician Grade 1 (Electrical) : ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.

  • Technician Grade 1 (Mechanical) : ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanical.

  • Technical Attendant Grade 1 : Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board (Desirable: ITI Trade Certificate of a two-year duration course in Electrical/Mechanical disciplines).

  • Assistant Grade II : First Class BA / B.Sc. / B.Com / BBA / BBM / BCA degree from a recognized university and a minimum Grade-B certificate in the Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by NIELIT.

  • Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Grade 1 (Watch & Ward Duties) : Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board (All posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen).

Selection Process

  • Engineering Officer Grade 1 (Electrical / Civil) : Selection is based entirely on a valid GATE score (for the years 2024, 2025, or 2026) in the relevant paper.

  • Engineering Assistant (Electrical / Mechanical) & Scientific Assistant : Selection is based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a job-specific practical skill test.

  • Technician Grade 1 (Electrical / Mechanical) : Selection is based on performance in a Computer Based Test (CBT), and candidates must also qualify a Trade Test.

  • Technical Attendant Grade 1 : Selection is based on performance in a Computer Based Test (CBT).

  • Assistant Grade II : Selection is based on performance in a Computer Based Test (CBT).

  • Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Grade 1 (Watch & Ward Duties) : Selection is based on performance in a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Trade/Proficiency Test.
